Description
Baptist chapel built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone-slate roof. The building has a single-room gable-fronted plan. The front façade includes a segmental-headed chamfered doorway, which is topped by a moulded triangular stone canopy supported by curved brackets. Flanking the doorway are pointed-arched windows with hood moulds and wooden tracery. The gable has a stone-coped parapet and a circular opening. The rear gable wall features two windows of a similar shape but lacks ashlar dressings. There is a small outshut on the left side wall facing the road. A long lintel built into the same wall suggests that the chapel may have originally been a small barn. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
