Description
There are two chest tombs located approximately 11 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Matthew. The tombs date from the late 17th century and the mid-18th century and are made of limestone. The south tomb, which is from the 17th century, has a rectangular shape with a cavetto-moulded capping. The north tomb, from the 18th century, also has a rectangular shape but features moulded capping and a stepped top. The 18th-century tomb includes two carved heads of cherubs on the east end, while the 17th-century tomb has carved decoration on the long sides at the west end. As of the last survey in July 1987, the inscriptions on both tombs were illegible.
