Description

This chest tomb, located in the churchyard of St. Mary's, is approximately 5 metres north of the north aisle. It commemorates George Knapp, who died in 1792, and his wife Catherine, who died in 1803. The tomb is made of limestone ashlar and features a moulded base, a cornice lid, and a top with recessed corners that have heavy square balusters. The inscription panel on the south side shows traces of shallow relief foliage in the corners.
