Description
The chest tomb to the Groves family is located in the churchyard of St. Mary's, approximately 25 meters south of the south aisle. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed from limestone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded base, a cornice lid, and a top, along with moulded inscription panels. The south side is flanked by panelled pilasters, while the north side has fluted pilasters. The end panels are shaped. The inscriptions commemorate William Groves, who died in 1794, and George Groves, who died in 1799.
