Description
Park Farm includes a barn and attached cartsheds located approximately 30 meters north of the farmhouse. The barn dates from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with moulded kneelers and stone coping. The barn has a five-bay plan, and the central doors for the threshing floor have been blocked since the barn was converted for machine threshing in the mid 19th century. There is a segmental stone arch above the loft door, which has an adjoining flywheel. To the right, there is a gabled mid 19th-century bay with a gabled roof and double doors.
Inside, the barn has a five-bay collar-truss roof with windbraces, butt purlins, and 20th-century struts, and the floor has been removed. Attached to the rear left are 7-bay cartsheds built from similar materials, which have mid 19th-century roofs. The 4-bay cartshed features late 17th-century jowled posts, while the mid 19th-century 3-bay extension at the rear has plain posts.
