Description
The Herm is located approximately 86 metres north-north-east of Rousham Park and at the north-east corner of the bowling green. It was built around 1733 to 1740 and is made of limestone. The carved head of the Herm depicts Minerva, with a relief carving of an owl beneath it. This structure is part of the landscape gardens designed by William Kent during the same period. Rousham Park is recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
