Description
Jasmine Cottage, together with the adjoining cottage at No. 210, dates from the late 17th century, with extensions added in the early to mid-18th century. No. 210 is constructed of timber framing with brick infill above a limestone rubble plinth, while No. 208 is built of colourwashed limestone rubble. Both cottages share a gabled and half-hipped thatch roof, with a brick ridge stack. The plan is arranged over three units. The cottages are one storey high with an attic, and feature a three-window front. Timber lintels are above 20th-century casement windows. A 20th-century porch and plank door are situated centrally in No. 208. A projecting wing to the right of No. 208 is built of similar materials, with a 19th-century brick gable end and a truncated stone stack. The interior and rear of the cottages were not inspected, but are likely to contain features of interest.
