Description

Pound House is a former farmhouse, converted to residential use in 1991. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of colourwashed brick with an old tile roof and brick stacks. The original layout comprised two units with a rear outshut. The two-storey, three-window front features carved brackets supporting a flat hood over a 20th-century door, and segmental arches over 20th-century three-light casement windows, both on the ground and first floors. The roof is gabled, with gable-end stacks. 20th-century extensions have been added to the sides and rear. The building is included on the list for its group value.
