Description

No. 34, Stert Street is probably of 17th-century origin, although it has an early 19th-century front elevation. The building is two storeys with attics and cellars, and has a modern tile roof. There are two gabled dormers, one a double-hung sash window with glazing bars. The eaves are defined by a dentil brick cornice. The facade is painted brick. The first floor has two windows with segmental arches, each containing a double-hung sash window with glazing bars. The ground floor features two modern doors set within narrow, reeded pilastered architraves decorated with paterae, with a two-step approach. There are also two pilastered shop windows. A rendered plinth runs along the base of the building.
