Description
Bridge House is a house dating from the 17th century, which was remodelled in the late 18th century. Originally timber-framed, it features colourwashed Flemish bond brick and an old tile roof with brick stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. Notable exterior features include carved brackets supporting a flat hood over a 20th-century door, and segmental header arches above 20th-century three-light casements and a two-light casement above the door. The roof is half-hipped and gabled, with a gable end stack on the right side. There is a late 19th-century outshut at the rear and a 20th-century shop extension to the left. Inside, the right side has chamfered and stopped beams along with timber-framed walls, while the left side features a chamfered beam with an unusual cyma stop.
