Description

The icehouse, located approximately 90 meters south of Shirburn Castle, dates from the 18th century. Its front wall is constructed of Flemish bond brick featuring flared headers, while the other walls and the curved roof are rendered in concrete. A flat brick arch is present above the doorway. Inside, there is a short passage that leads to an ovolo-shaped ice-pit.
