SHIRBURN WATLINGTON ROAD SU6995 (West side) Shirburn Park 14/161 Lodge and attached wall approx. 300m. S of Shirburn Castle

Lodge. Early C19, reputed to be by John Nash (Pevsner). Coursed and dressed limestone, partly stucco; late C19/early C20 tile roof. 2-storey, one-bay front has blocked chamfered 2-centred doorway, pointed lancet, and castellated parapet carried over wall to left which has pointed chamfered archway. C19 cottage attached to right. Interior and rear not inspected. (Buildings of England: Oxfordshire, Vol.VIII, p.763).
