Description

The gatehouse, located approximately 85 meters south of Shirburn Castle, dates from the early 19th century and is built of limestone ashlar in a Gothic style. It is two storeys high and consists of a one-bay range. The entrance features a pointed chamfered arch leading to studded double doors, and it is topped with a crenellated parapet. The interior and rear of the building could not be inspected.
