Description
The Old White House Public House, dated 1897 and designed by H T Hare, is located on the west side of Abingdon Road. The building features a rendered and painted exterior with a stone ground floor. It has a three-bay front, with the central bay projecting over a porch. The ground floor is accented by stone quoins, and there are six-light mullioned windows on either side of the door. Above, there are three-light windows, with a six-light window over the porch, all featuring leaded lattices. The round-headed doorway is complemented by a central gable adorned with modillions and a date plaque. The roof is tiled.
