Description
The Cottage is located on the south side of High Street and is believed to have part of its structure dating back to 1623, when the wall of the Botanic Gardens was built against which the house stands. The front of the building likely dates from the 18th century and features a two-storey, double-fronted design made of ashlar stone. It has two unequal gables, a stone slate roof, and a brick chimney stack. The west gable includes a sash window, while the east gable features a casement window, with one window on each floor. The east gable end is constructed of brick, and the sash windows are fitted with glazing bars. All the listed buildings on the south side form a group.
