Description
Nos 24 to 37 Beaumont Street is a group of buildings laid out as a unified terrace-type scheme between 1828 and 1837, located on the site of the ancient palace of Beaumont. The buildings feature three storeys with Bath stone fronts in brick, cellars, a moulded cornice, and a small parapet. Some of the buildings have a mansard roof that creates an attic floor. Each floor typically has two or three sash windows with glazing bars, and most of the first-floor windows have iron balconies, while some feature attractive verandah balconies. The doorways are distinguished by semi-circular heads, and several have stone door frames with engaged columns and split pediments. All the listed buildings in Beaumont Street are recognized as a group.
