Description
Christchurch features a wall and screen facing Oriel Square, located in the northeast corner of the College. This structure, likely designed by Dean Aldrich in the 18th century, is made of stone and includes 12 piers topped with moulded caps and ball finials. The wall is divided into five panels, each with wrought-iron screens, while the remaining sections extend to the full height of the wall. One panel contains a small triumphal arch-type doorway, which is adorned with a pediment and a Gibbs surround.
