Description

2 and 3 Fisher Row is a building dating from 1485, originally known as Lower Fisher Row. It features a stone panel in the brick pediment with the inscription "Endowed in the year 1799 Edward Tawney Esquire, Alderman of this City." The structure was originally built as four almshouses and has since been converted into two tenements. It is three storeys high, constructed of variegated brick, and includes a stone cornice, a brick pediment, and two sash windows. The two side doorways are topped with plain scroll bracketed hoods, and the windows are fitted with glazing bars.
