Description
10-12 Turl Street is a 17th-century building that originally served as houses and shops. It is three stories high, constructed with roughcast timber framing and features cellars. The second floor slightly overhangs, and there is a cornice with modillions above which are four roughcast gables. On the first floor, above the shop front of No 11, there are two 18th-century sash windows with original glazing bars, while above the shop front of No 12, there are two 18th-century three-light sash windows, also with original glazing bars. The second floor has four later casement windows. Inside, the building includes original panelling and a fireplace. Historically, it was known as "the Maidenhead" Inn.
