Description
The oasthouse at Puxtye Farm is an early 19th-century building constructed of brick in Flemish bond, featuring grey brick headers. It has a predominantly tiled roof, with one side and a catslide roof made of slate. The structure is two storeys high and has a window arrangement of 2:6. The stowage and oast are combined in one range, with a square oast on the right that has a pyramidal roof and a later penticed dormer. The stowage includes some casement windows, which are cambered on the ground floor, as well as some pivoting sashes. The first floor features a loading door, while the ground floor has two cambered doors. The building is adorned with a dog-tooth cornice and is contemporary with the farmhouse.
