Description
Hoad's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. It is possibly originally an open hall-house and has been partially refaced in the 18th century, with an L-wing added. The ground floor is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond on a plinth. The first floor features an exposed box frame on the right side, with rendered infilling and weatherboarded half-hipped gables on the left side. The right side elevation is tile hung on the first floor. The building has a steeply pitched tiled roof with a gablet and external brick chimneystacks. It is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, including one hipped dormer. The windows are casement style, and there is an 18th-century six fielded panelled door with a flat hood supported by brackets.
