Description
Nos 5 and 7 Little Mount Sion is a pair of houses built between 1780 and 1815, with alterations made after the middle of the 19th century. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and feature a slate roof. The rear and right side elevations are partially tile hung. The buildings are three storeys high and have three windows across the front elevation.
The front features two three-light canted bays on the upper floors, which were boarded over at the time of the survey but likely had later 19th-century mullioned and transomed windows. The left side has a cambered sash window with verticals only and horns, along with a flower guard on the first-floor window. The ground floor includes two cambered 16-pane sash windows and a cambered entrance leading to a rear passage on the left. The paired wooden doorcase has incised pilasters, flat hoods on brackets, and rectangular fanlights. There is a plinth at the base.
On the rear elevation, the upper floors are tile hung, projecting over a stock brick ground floor, which has two 16-pane sash windows. A later weather-boarded projection obscures two of the windows.
