Nos 8A and 9 on London Road are mid-19th century buildings that share a roof with No 8. They are four storeys tall and have a basement, constructed from red brick with a hipped slate roof. The first floor features two sashes with intact glazing bars and two three-light sashes. The shop fronts date from the later 19th century. Nos 8, 8A, and 9 are recognized as a group.
