Description
The Cheesman headstone, located approximately 7 metres east-north-east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary, is a Grade II listed headstone dated 1724 in memory of Mary Cheesman. It is made of sandstone and features an upright slab that stands about 400mm high. The headstone has a curvilinear-shaped top and a recessed front panel. The inscription is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, commemorating the death of Mary Cheesman in 1724.
