Description

Aldon Farmhouse is a late 16th and early 17th century farmhouse with 18th-century elevations. It is timber-framed and clad in random rubble stone, with red brick quoins and dressings. The roof is tiled, with end stacks. The two-storey, two-window front features wooden casement windows set beneath segmental gauged arches. A central panelled door has top lights cut out and a flat projecting hood. A large central panel is located on the first floor, with a smaller panel within it. The building has an L-shape plan, with a projecting wing to the rear.
