Description
This is a chest tomb located approximately 17 meters west-southwest of the tower of the Church of St Mary, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a white marble lid. The tomb has a rectangular shape with diagonal buttresses designed as inverted fluted consoles. The flat lid has moulded edges and corner projections that are fluted, tapering down to the buttresses. The sides of the tomb include fielded panels, with the two long sides separated by fluted pilasters. It has a moulded base and a one-step plinth, which includes sockets for iron area railings. The lid bears a very worn inscription that is mostly illegible except in perfect lighting conditions.
