Description

The Beeke headstone, located approximately 17 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Mary, is a Grade II listed headstone dated 1702, commemorating Richard Beeke. It is made of sandstone and stands upright at about 750mm high, featuring a curvilinear-shaped head with a small inscribed motif. The inscription is in neat Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, recording the deaths of Richard Beeke in 1702 and his wife Margaret in 1714.
