Description

Postern Heath Farm House is a timber-framed house, originally dating from 1732, which was later encased in an 18th-century brick exterior. The house is two storeys high with an attic, and has five windows across the front. There are three hipped dormers in the roof. The walls are red brick with grey brick headers, accentuated by a string course. A wooden eaves cornice, decorated with modillions, runs along the top of the building. The steeply pitched roof is tiled. The ground floor windows have cambered head linings, though the original glazing bars are now missing. The front door consists of six fielded panels set within a wooden surround, topped with a large, flat hood featuring a pediment. A substantial brick chimney breast is located on the east wall.
