Description

No. 46 on The Street is a house that has been converted into a house and shop. It dates back to the 16th century and underwent alterations in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is rendered and has a base of painted brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high, with chimney stacks at both the left and right ends. On the first floor, there are three metal casement windows. The ground floor includes two plate glass segment-headed shop windows and a half-glazed door, all framed by fluted pilaster surrounds. The door itself consists of four raised and fielded panels, topped with a flat hood, and there is one metal casement window to the right.
