Description
Filmer House is a house that dates from the 15th to 17th centuries. It is timber framed and has exposed plaster infill, with red brick underbuilding on the right side, and features plain tiled roofs. The building is 'L'-shaped and consists of three separate constructions. The front elevation has two storeys set on a plinth, with a continuous jetty and a hipped roof that includes gablets and stacks positioned at the centre right, left end, and right end. The windows are arranged irregularly and consist of wood casements, while there is a boarded door located at the centre right. The two framed bays on the left side are close-studded at the bottom, with panels and tension bracing above; the bay on the right is a separate build, also close-studded and underbuilt in brick. At the right rear, there is a gabled 17th-century wing that has a notably higher roofline and some decorative panelling.
