Description

The Rock and Fountain Public House dates to the early 19th century. It is a two-storey building with a basement, constructed of red brick with grey brick headers. The roof is hipped and tiled. The first floor has three windows; the central window is a casement, and the others are sash windows with louvred shutters. The ground floor windows have been altered. There are two simple batten doors at the front. A single-storey extension, clad in weatherboard and with a slate roof, is attached to the right side. The Rock and Fountain Public House contributes to the group value of the surrounding buildings, notably Rock Cottage.
