Description
Rose Cottage is likely a former barn that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and was built in two stages. The conversion to a house occurred in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed, with the left section rendered and the right section weatherboarded. The left gable end is partly weatherboarded and partly rendered, while the right gable end is fully rendered. The roof is covered with plain tiles and consists of two sections, with the left section being slightly shorter. The left section has a hipped roof with a gablet and lower eaves and ridge, while the right section features a half-hipped roof. There is a painted brick stack at the junction of the two sections. The windows are arranged irregularly, featuring three casements: one single-light window at each end of the left section and one two-light window in the right section. There is a rendered front lean-to at the right end of the right section, which includes a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
