Description

This is a headstone dedicated to Mary Mercer, located about 4 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary in East Farleigh. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a scrolled and foliated top, adorned with two cherubs' heads, a book, and an hourglass. Mary Mercer passed away in 1770.
