Description

A large, L-shaped stable block dating from the early 19th century is situated within Mote Park. The building is primarily constructed of ashlar, with some areas of red brick, and has a slate roof. It features eleven windows. Segmental-headed archways are located in the centre of the north wing, while a square-headed archway is in the centre of the west wing. Each wing also has coach houses with casement windows above the archways. The west wing has an additional window positioned above the archway and a wooden turret on the roof. The turret features a clock face on each side and a hexagonal cupola surmounted by a ball and weathervane. The building possesses group value with Mote House.
