Description
Tanyard Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with 19th century and later alterations. It features lightly chequered red and grey brick and has a plain tile roof. The building is double depth and faces south, away from the road. It has two storeys set on a plinth, with an eaves plat band. The sides have a diagonally dentilled brick eaves cornice, and the roof is hipped. There are red brick end stacks, with the right stack projecting slightly. The windows consist of three mid-19th century glazing-bar sashes on the ground floor, each with segmental heads. The entrance has a panelled door with three small top lights, sheltered by a 19th century flat hood supported by chamfered wooden posts. The interior has not been inspected.
