Description
The George Inn is a building that dates from the 18th century, located on Hever Court Road in Singlewell. The front elevation appears to be 18th century, while the rear features a timber-framed section. The building consists of two parallel ranges. The front range has two storeys, with the ground floor made of painted brick and the first floor pebbledashed at the front and plastered on the side. It has a tiled roof and features five sash windows with verticals only, along with two doorcases that have pedimented hoods above them. The rear range is weatherboarded with a slate roof and includes one sash window on the side elevation. Additionally, there is a two-storey timber-framed section at the rear that is positioned at right angles to the main building. The George Inn is part of a group that includes Orchard House, Corner Cottage, and Chapel Farmhouse.
