Description
The Lifeboat Inn is an 18th-century building located at 42 North Street in Folkestone. It is two storeys tall with attics and has a stuccoed exterior. The roof is tiled and features one flipped dormer that contains a double casement window. A modillion eaves cornice runs along the top. On the first floor, there is one sash window with intact glazing bars, while the ground floor window has been altered. The left side of the building has an 18th-century doorcase with a pediment, reeded frieze, and panelled reveals. The left side elevation includes a gable and a one-storey stuccoed bar extension. At right angles to this is an early 19th-century portion that is two storeys tall, weatherboarded, has a slate roof, and features one sash window with intact glazing bars set in a moulded architrave.
