Description

Malvina House is a 18th-century building located at No. 79 Harbour Way in Folkestone. It consists of two parallel ranges and stands three storeys tall, constructed of red brick. The side elevation features partial tile hanging, and the building is topped with an old hipped tiled roof. A modillion eaves cornice adds detail to the roofline. The façade includes three sash windows with intact glazing bars, with the central first-floor window being round-headed. The entrance features a doorcase with an open pediment and engaged Tuscan columns, along with an outside chimneystack. Malvina House is part of a group with Nos 81 to 93 (odd), which are buildings of local interest.
