Description

No 17, known as Overbury, is an 18th-century building located on Church Hill. It is two storeys high with an attic, constructed from sandstone and featuring red brick dressings, quoins, and an eaves cornice. The roof is tiled and there are three modern dormers. The building has three sash windows with intact glazing bars and a modern porch. An addition at the east end is two storeys high with two windows and a tiled gable facing east. Overbury is part of a group with Nos 5 to 9 (odd) and Nos 13 to 17 (odd) on Bartholomew Street, and it also forms a group with Nos 7 to 11 (odd) on Hillside Street.
