Description
The Firs is a 17th-century or earlier farmhouse that was largely refronted in the 19th century. The east-facing side is constructed of stone rubble, with tile hanging to the first floor, and features a chimney breast built of red brick, incorporating a cornice below the shaft. The main south-facing front is of white brick on the ground floor, with tile hanging above. It includes a parapet, three sash windows with only vertical divisions, and three-light sash windows to the ground floor. A ground-floor verandah is present, and a one-bay addition is visible on the left side. The Firs forms a group with its associated barns.
