Description

The Rattling Cat is an 18th-century building located on Dover Road in Walmer. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick. The building features three sash windows with intact glazing bars, Venetian shutters on the first floor, and solid wooden shutters on the ground floor. The ground floor windows have cambered head linings. The entrance is highlighted by a doorcase with Doric pilasters, a pediment, a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panel moulded door. The Rattling Cat, along with No 279, forms a group of buildings.
