Description
Gothic House is a mid-19th century house of irregular shape, with some later 19th century additions. The front elevation is symmetrical, featuring one storey and attics, and is stuccoed and grooved to imitate masonry. It has a recessed centre flanked by two projecting gabled wings, which are connected by a verandah. The roof is tiled and includes two hipped dormers. Each gable has stepped wooden bargeboards and one pointed arched window with 'Gothick' glazing on each floor. The verandah is made up of three pointed arches and has a tiled roof supported by square chamfered columns with moulded capitals and bases. Behind the verandah, there are French windows with Venetian shutters. The rear and side elevations are asymmetrical, featuring two storeys with gables, hips, and clustered chimneystacks.
