Description

The Rose and Crown Public House, located at numbers 77 and 79 Beach Street, originally comprised two houses dating to the early 19th century. Number 77 has a stuccoed exterior, while number 79 is partly roughcast with a stuccoed ground floor. Both properties are three stories high. Number 77 has two sash windows on each floor, each with vertical sliding panels. Number 79 features one sash window on the second floor and an early 19th century shopfront with two plain pilasters. The building forms part of a group with numbers 73 to 87 (odd). This listing recognizes the group value of the buildings together.
