Description

These three gas lamps, located approximately 85, 165, and 215 metres from New Street, date from the mid-19th century. Each lamp features fluted columns and palm capitals, with a pair of arms at the necking and a moulded base. The lamps are topped with a lantern that has a square plan, larger at the top than at the bottom, and adorned with anthemion foliage at each corner of the sloping roof. Each lantern terminates in a bell-shaped vent, which is capped with a scalloped cap and finial.
