Description

This is an 18th-century block of buildings comprising numbers 88 to 96 on the south-west side of High Street. The building is two storeys high and rendered, with a hipped tiled roof. It originally had eleven windows, most of which are hung sashes with glazing bars. There are also two 19th-century plain shop windows and two modern bow windows. A window at number 92 retains a decorative cornice. Number 96 has two windows that lack glazing bars. Number 88 features a moulded doorway with a cornice supported by brackets. A modern doorway at number 90 has grooved pilasters and a door with six fielded panels. A modern door is located at number 92. Number 94’s doorway has pilasters, panelled reveals, and a sloped hood. Number 96 has a door with four panels. A catslide roof is visible at the rear. Numbers 88 and 90 have double roofs. A modern doorway is present at number 90.
