No. 1 Forge Lane is an early 19th-century, two-storey building. It features a brick structure with a pebbledashed front, a zig-zag brick dentil course, and an old clay tiled roof. The first-floor windows are box sashes, and there is a shop window and door on the ground floor of both elevations. The pilasters and glazing bar are intact.
