Description
Hatch House and Sayers Court is an L-shaped building located on Chartham Hatch Lane. The rear wing dates from the 18th century and is two storeys high, constructed of red brick with a tiled roof featuring a modillion eaves cornice and casement windows. The front portion, built around 1830, is also two storeys with attics, made of red brick and topped with a hipped slate roof that has two pedimented dormers. It features a wide bracket eaves cornice, three sashes with intact glazing bars, and Venetian windows on the ground floor. The central window bay projects and has a pediment above, which contains a lunette window. The entrance features a round-headed doorcase with pilasters, a pediment, a keystone, a semi-circular fanlight, and a door with six moulded and fielded panels.
