Description
Shalmsford Bridge Manor is a two-storey building dating from the 16th century or earlier, originally timber-framed and now restored and plastered. The first floor extends out over the ends of the floor joists, supported by a dragon beam. The roof is tiled and features a brick chimneystack. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows, while the first floor has one horizontally sliding sash window and one ordinary sash window. The interior includes an inglenook fireplace and a plastered ceiling with decorative bosses, likely from the late 17th century to early 18th century. There are also modern additions to the property.
