Description

The barn at Ford Manor, located to the north-east of the house, is an unusually wide structure that likely dates back to the 16th century and was probably part of the buildings associated with the Palace of the Archbishops of Canterbury. It is a walled timber barn with a red brick base set in cement. The roof is hipped and tiled, featuring a pentice on the western half of the south front. Inside, there are tie beams supported by diagonal braces and crown posts, along with passing braces leading to the aisles.
