Description

No. 1 The Green is an 18th-century house, now with a cement rendered exterior. It is two storeys high with attics. The ground floor is rusticated. The roof is tiled with two dormers. A stringcourse runs along the building. There are three sash windows with intact glazing bars and wooden shutters to those on the ground floor. The doorcase has narrow pilasters, a flat hood supported by brackets, and a six-panelled fielded wooden door. The building was formerly listed as being nearly opposite The Anchor Inn, and was occupied by a Mr. Turner.
